It's Friday night. I am working on our tax returns tomorrow which will not be fun at all. So tonight I am going to focus on some of my favourite things. I like a lot of things so this is just going to be what pops in my head in no particular order. I can't list all of the things I like because that would take forever and be boring. haha...
Last weekend was the first day when the sun came out and you really felt like Spring could be right around the corner. We didn't need to wear our winter coats or our mittens. We took advantage of the nice day and checked out Westfield Heritage Village's Maple Syrup Festival.
A week ago, I went out to check out the
Art Crawl on James Street North in Hamilton. I have to say, I was surprised by the number of people around. It was really really busy. Next month I think Tommy is going to come with me. And then hopefully in May, I will actually be selling my work at the Maker's Market. It is one of my new favourite things because it shows me the potential of Hamilton. The city is full of talented and amazing people. Seeing a whole bunch of them in one place is awesome.
I love painting. Not "making art" painting but painting something in my house to give it a little facelift. This morning I painted one of the walls in my kitchen. It's orange. I bought a mug from CB2 that is pretty much the same colour. I like it.
I have always loved embroidery. I am going to put it on my to do list to take some pictures of the embroideries that my friend Jennifer Langdale used to do. She is so talented. I am lucky enough to have two pieces. One is a goat, and one is a spider. Until then...my french knots are decorative!
This week was March Break so I got to spend the week with my kids. No school! They are pretty spectacular. They kept me laughing and they definitely kept me on my toes. They are my most favourite...and pretty colourful too.
